I was born and raised in Middlesbrough.
I grew up in Brambles Farm in the 70’s with my nana and grandad when my mam and dad divorced, times were tough back then, but I was fortunate in having an extended loving family, who supported my mum through some difficult years. My mum eventually got a house in Pallister Park, where we lived until I left home. We didn’t have wealth, however my nana’s motto was “as long as you are loved, you are clothed and warm, and your bellies are full, everything else will fall into place’ and she was right. My family instilled good positive principles and morals which have pathed my journey to date.
I live in Marton with my husband Mark, and we have two grown up boys Jake and Ben. I have worked in Mental Health for the NHS for the past 23 years, currently working part time as an Associate Practitioner at Parkside Middlesbrough, a job that I am very passionate about.
Having supported many charities and worthy causes over the years, I know I have found the one that ticks all the boxes that I am completely passionate about. I am dedicated in looking after the people of Teesside, who need support or are going through some difficult times in their lives.
I am looking forward to being part of The Teesside Family Foundation Charity, and seeing what we can achieve for the families on Teesside in the next few years.
